About Iran
“I swear to god that there shall be a day when the Iranians shall take complete revenge on you and Arabs and the atheist nation in order to resurrect the genuine Islam. You are unable to sense the truth with your hearts for otherwise why do you refuse to assist a religion which has arisen from your land and illuminated the universe with its golden rays, but you are like the bats, which hide from the light. You do not appreciate the light”.

About future of Muslims
“A time will come when nothing will remain of the Quran except its name. The mosques in those days would be busy with regard to construction but desolate with regard to guidance. Those staying in them and those visiting them will be the worst of all on earth. From them mischief would spring up and towards them all wrong would turn. If anyone would isolate himself from it they would fling him back to it and if anyone would step back from it they would push him towards it. Says Allah the glorified “I swear by myself that I shall send upon them an evil wherein the endurer would be bewildered” and He would do so. We seek Allah’s pardon from stumbling through neglect”.
Source: Nahjul Balagha.

About Knowledge
“Knowledge is associated with action. Therefore he who knows should act because knowledge calls out for action; if there is response well and good otherwise it departs from him”.
Source: Nahjul-Balagha.

About manners
“The worst defect is to regard the defect in others which is present in you”.
About living
"Perfume yourselves with the fragrance of seeking forgiveness lest the stench of sins pollute you."
Persian couplet
“Looking at others defects is neither propriety nor manliness, better look for your own self since you are full of defects”.

About purpose of going to karbala
"I have not risen to spread evil or to show off, nor for spreading immorality or oppression. But I have left for the REFORMATION of the Ummah of my Grandfather the Apostle of Allah (s.a.w.) and I desire to do Amr Bil Maroof (invite towards good values) and Nahi Anal Munkar (forbidding from Evil)."

About refusal of baiyat
"By Allah, I will never give you my hand like a man who has been humiliated, nor will I flee like a slave."

About Holy Prophet
“All the Prophets’ trainings, teachings, knowledge and purposes were centered on human beings. They have all been assigned to train true human beings and to elevate mankind from this natural status to the lofty and high position of the supernatural and the heavens. Mankind, itself, is the main purpose of the assignment of the prophets.
June 28, 1979
“Salvation and perfection of human beings and human societies solely depend upon the obedience of divine laws which have been sent to mankind through the prophets.”
May25, 1979

About World Leaders
“Those who are trying to train others in this world should first purgate themselves. Those who seek to rule over human beings should be purgated and purified if they do not intend to rebel (against God) and not to commit satanic deeds; the ordainment is for this purpose. Purification for rulers, government officials, kings and for the presidents is more necessary than for ordinary people.”

Islamic Sacred Texts

Wed May 14, 2008 9:40 pm by Admin

There are two main sacred texts in Islam: the Qur'an (or Koran) and the Hadith (or Hadeeth).

The Qur'an is the most sacred text, as it is believed to be the literal word of God as revealed to Muhammad.

The Hadith is a secondary text that records sayings of Muhammad and his followers. These two texts form the basis for all Islamic theology, practice and Sharia (Islamic law).

The Judeo-Christian Bible is also respected as revelations from the true God, but Muslims believe the Bible to have been corrupted in transmission and translation.

Qur'an - the word of God
Hadith - the tradition of the Prophet
